ANO "Center for the rehabilitation of disabled children" Our Sunny World ", a leading organization in the field of professional assistance to children with autism in the Russian Federation, announces the release of a new version of the unique free application-communicator" Autism: Communication ". The first version of the Autism: Communication communicator, created by the Center’s specialists in 2012, was the world's first such application in Russian that can help a child with autism learn how to communicate with others and develop spontaneous speech skills. The application was created with the help of a leading specialist in applied behavior analysis - Yulia Mikhailovna Erts. The new version, while fully preserving the functionality of the previous one, has acquired new, unique features. Now a parent or specialist can use not only a standard set of cards to communicate with a non-speaking child, but also be able to add his own, created individually. This functionality allows you to use the application not only for non-speaking children with autism and other developmental disabilities, but also for any other people who are unable to speak. It can be children and adults with cerebral palsy, adults with the consequences of injuries and after a stroke, just older people. The new version of the application was created with the financial support of the Foundation for the Support of Historical and Cultural Research "Sources". The application contains: • A gallery of cards containing more than 150 high-quality images that the child learns to distinguish, name and relate to different categories (for example, animals, letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.). The ability to distinguish and name objects also contributes to the development of speech skills in children with autism and other developmental disorders. Parents and specialists will be able to add their cards (photograph and voice), using in the dialogue with the child those objects and objects that he needs to study (dad, mother, clinic, kindergarten, etc.) • A communicator, with the help of which a child can simply indicate the desired items, and make full-fledged offers-requests. Sound accompaniment allows the child to voice his own desires and provides an opportunity for repetition and speech imitation. Developed taking into account the long-term experience of specialists of the Our Sunny World center for the rehabilitation of disabled children, the manual is suitable for the effective education of children with autism, Down syndrome, Alalia and other disorders accompanied by difficulties in speech development. The application can also be used as a developmental tool in the process of studying with ordinary young children. • Special application functionality allows you to create communicative, voiced cards for adults and older people with speech impairments. Such as - “walkers”, “cup”, “medicines”, “I feel bad”, “I want to call my daughter”, etc. You can create and voice cards for any words. As many as needed. The main task of this application is to help people who cannot talk on their own communicate. The main expert of the project is Igor Leonidovich Spitsberg. From 1991 to the present, he has been actively involved in the development and improvement of rehabilitation methods for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
