Feeling Good Teens is for 10 – 15-year-olds to develop self-esteem, resilience and goal focused motivation.
Feeling Good Teens has 11 tracks, of varying length from 3 minutes to 11 minutes, with tracks that guide mindful relaxation, muscle relaxation, calming the mind, building self-confidence, coping with exam stress and sleeping well. These age-appropriate relaxing audios combine relaxation, positive psychology and Olympic Sports coaching techniques to build core non-cognitive skills, such as increasing self-confidence, and self-esteem. There is a short video to develop calm breathing too. Regular listening to the audio tracks builds inner mental strength, in much the same way as exercise builds muscle, so listening develops skills for life.
Feeling Good Teens is also part of the ‘Feeling Good for Schools’ programme. Independent evaluation of this programme in 11- 13-year-old pupils (senior 1 year) in selected schools across the UK showed that pupils in the programme were significantly more able to maintain their resilience (feelings of hope) (p=0.056) compared with those who were not in the programme. Also those pupils with the lowest 20% resilience and wellbeing scores at the start of the programme showed significant improvement in resilience and wellbeing compared to those with the top 80% of scores, indicating that the programme is helping those who need it the most. 84% of pupils responding to a class survey found benefit in the programme, such as:
- feeling more calm and relaxed
- feeling less stressed
- having better concentration
- having more confidence.
Both pupils and teachers commented on the positive influence of the programme.

These teens tracks have been derived from our NHS accredited ‘Feeling Good; Positive Mind’ App for adults, which contains the evidence-based, longer length Positive Mental Training tracks (in Feeling Good for Life module). Research has shown these aid recovery from low mood and depression, reduce worry, lift mood, and improve self-confidence and sleep. For more information visit www.feelinggood.app
