Welcome to the updated AT&T Secure Family Companion®, a mobile app for use by children to help parents protect their children in both the digital and physical world. With the Secure Family Companion app installed on the child’s device, parents can locate family and manage their child’s screen time and the content they access online using the Secure Family parent app.

FOR CHILD USING THE COMPANION APP: 
* Family Location – with adult permission gives child a map view of family members location.
* Rewards – parents can give their child extra screen time as a reward for good behavior.
* SOS Alert - Children can send an Alert to all family members.
* Countdown timer – gives child visibility into time remaining until internet is blocked or resumes.
* Usage Summary – child view of top websites and apps they accessed.

AT&T Secure Family Companion is free and only works with the purchase of AT&T Secure Family, available in the Google Play Store for $7.99/month (includes support for up to 10 family members) and up to 30 devices in total. Service auto renews every 30 days unless cancelled.  Cancel anytime. To use the AT&T Secure Family service, you must download two Apps:  the AT&T Secure Family App (adults, parents or guardians) and the AT&T Secure Family Companion App (children)

AT&T Secure Family Companion App 
AT&T Secure Family is designed to work with AT&T Secure Family Companion. Install it on your child’s device and pair it with your device. Pairing is required to access all the features of Secure Family.

Only authorized app users have permission to use the App to locate a family member.   
Devices running the Secure Family App or Secure Family Companion App require Android v.11 or higher. 
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can reduce battery life. 
There is a compatibility conflict that can prevent the addition of AT&T Secure Family Companion to your child’s companion device if you have AT&T ActiveArmor Advanced Mobile Security running on the same companion device.  If you wish to continue with the purchase, you must either remove AT&T ActiveArmor Advanced Mobile Security from your account or downgrade to AT&T ActiveArmor Mobile Security on the companion device before adding AT&T Secure Family Companion.

AT&T Secure Family uses the Google Accessibility API as an optional component to the parental controls function, and when enabled by the parent, helps to prevent removal of the Secure Family Companion (child app) to prevent disablement of parental control functions by the child.

This app uses a VPN required to activate the parental controls features including content filter and block internet on the child’s device running the AT&T Secure Family Companion app.
